At Tom Palmer Homes, we strive to build customer-driven homes. From site and feature selection to construction and warranty work, we work with the client in mind. We're committed to doing the right thing for our customers and to approaching each construction task with integrity.

At Tom Palmer Homes, we believe the custom home building process should be uncomplicated and exciting for our clients. If you can provide guidance on the features that are important to you, we can take care of the details and make the home you envision a reality. We can also offer insights from many customer experiences, but are open to unique ideas you may have regarding your home's features.

A home is not only a structure to live in and enjoy - it's also an investment. With this in mind, we are committed to building high-quality, aesthetically pleasing homes at a competitive price point. Unlike many tract builders, we don't try to make a lot of money on the upgrades that our customers desire. And we make sure that the allowances we provide for items such as lighting, plumbing fixtures, landscaping and flooring are fairly generous for our price point.

Tom Palmer Homes is a husband-and-wife team, made up of Tom and his wife, Lyn. Tom and Lyn live in Davidson, NC with their two children.

Tom Palmer

Tom Palmer has built homes in Iredell, Gaston, Lincoln and Catawba Counties. Tom provides hands-on management of all aspects of construction for the homes he builds.

Before starting Tom Palmer Homes, Tom had learned the building trade while working for his brother Mike. Mike is the owner of Mike Palmer Homes, a residential and commercial construction company. Before that, Tom had worked as the Strategic Marketing Manager for Omgeo, a financial services software firm.

In addition to being a licensed North Carolina general contractor, Tom is also a licensed real estate broker. He owns Terra Vista Realty, a Charlotte-area real estate brokerage. Tom's experience as a real estate broker gives him a unique understanding of what features represent a good investment in building a home. Tom recently appeared on three episodes of HGTV's My House is Worth What? HGTV's producers selected Tom to appear on the show when their crew visited the Charlotte area.

Tom holds a BA in Russian from Bates College and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.

Lyn Palmer

Lyn Palmer provides creative and administrative support to Tom Palmer Homes. She assists with the design, style and color selections for new homes. Lyn also manages day-to-day corporate operations including accounting, permitting and marketing.

Prior to joining the company, Lyn handled marketing and communications for a variety of consumer products, business services and non-profit organizations. Most recently she was the Communications Manager for Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein in Charlotte. Lyn received a B.A. in Art History from Bates College.
